January 2, 2019 - March 31, 2019
A new exhibit, Paper and Light, featuring lampshades made by Brooklin papermaker Gigi Sarsfield, with lamps made by several local artists, will be on display in the Blue Hill Public Library’s Howard Room glass cases through March 30th.
Gigi has been making paper since the 1990s after working in computer coding and data processing. She has a studio and gallery in Brooklin. Her lampshades will be exhibited with lamps made by several Maine craftspeople, including Louis Charlett of New Gloucester, formerly of Mount Desert Island; Lynn Curran of Harrison; Vivian Pyle, and Rick Jaeckel, both of Surry, as well as Jim Webb of Hopewell, NJ.
The exhibit will be available for viewing during library hours subject to the Howard meeting room schedule. For more information call the library at 374-5515.
