October 2, 2019 - November 30, 2019
Camden artist and builder George Jennings will display drawings and photographs in the Larchwood case at the Blue Hill Library during October and November. The exhibit, entitled “Old Trucks and Homemade Tractors”, features illustrations of homemade tractors from his upcoming book with the same title, photos of different tractors he has built, and some antique truck and tractor parts.
George Jennings has always had a fascination with machines and machinery, anything that goes. From running tug boats with his father out of Belfast, Maine as a kid to being a crew member on the Camden Schooners, Jennings learned a lot about boats of all varieties from a
young age. He became interested in designing and building tractors with recycled truck parts. He believes it is important to learn to repair the things we use.
“Old Trucks and Homemade Tractors” will be available for viewing during library hours through the end of November. For more information call the library at 374-5515.
