November 1, 2018 - January 31, 2019
Orland resident Janet Lymburner is exhibiting chess sets from her collection in the Blue Hill Public Library’s Larchwood Case through the end of January. The sets are made from various materials including stone, wood and plastic, and the designs of the pieces vary from traditional to gothic, and more abstract. One of the sets is a miniature travel set from England, with a board that the pieces key into, so they don’t fall off while traveling. In a few weeks, Christmas themed sets will be added to the display.
The exhibit will be available for viewing during library hours through the end of January. For more information call the library at 374-5515.
