BHPL is excited to offer a film series just for teens. We will be watching films from a variety of genres including indie/science fiction, action, anime/foreign, horror, comedy, and drama. Several of our films are based on young adult novels and they explore everything from social justice issues, to mental health, to time travel!
May’s film is our final in the series and is an action film based on the young adult novel of the same name, “The Maze Runner”. When Thomas wakes up trapped in a massive maze with a group of other boys, he has no memory of the outside world other than strange dreams about a mysterious organization known as W.C.K.D. Only by piecing together fragments of his past with clues he discovers in the maze can Thomas hope to uncover his true purpose and a way to escape. Based on the best-selling novel by James Dashner.
The movies we watch together in our Teen Film Series cover a wide range of subjects and styles, and we encourage teens and their families to research them in advance and decide which are right for you and your teen. For more information call the library at 374-5515.Location: Howard Room
