March 2, 2018 4:00 pm - 4:45 pm
BHPL is excited to offer a film series just for teens. We will be watching films from a variety of genres including indie/science fiction, action, anime/foreign, horror, comedy, and drama. Several of our films are based on young adult novels and they explore everything from social justice issues, to mental health, to time travel!
March’s film, “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” is a comedy based on the “Scott Pilgrim” graphic novels. Game on! Scott Pilgrim just met the girl of his dreams…literally. But in order for them to date, he must defeat her seven evil exes, including an infamous skateboarder, a vegan rock star and fearsome identical twins! From the director of Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead comes a truly original film powered up by wit, action and groundbreaking visuals that you will want to watch again as soon as it’s over!
Our Teen Film Series welcomes teens of all ages, with a suggested age range of 12 and up. The movies we watch together cover a wide range of subjects and styles, and we encourage teens and their families to research them in advance and decide which are right for you and your teen.
